Firmware/Software Developer (f/m)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for the earliest possible date: Firmware/Software Developer (f/m)

  • Job Description:
  • Design, implementation and test development of embedded soft­ware in the field of large scale antenna systems
  • Design, documentation and implementation of an automated software component test bench
  • Regular execution and observation of test results
  • Complex system issue analysis and correction in cooperation with FPGA, algorithm, firmware and product support experts using equipment traces and debugging tools
  • Implementation of build and release management tasks
  • Development of configuration management tools – administration of the configuration management system
  • Qualifications:
  • University / University of Applied Sciences / University of Cooperative Education: Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology required
  • Main focus on telecommunication engineering desired
  • Knowledge / Experience:

  • Developer guidance during subsequent implementation in VHDL hardware and DSP firmware
  • Functional testing and debugging on FPGA development platform
  • Technical support during lab conformance testing and customer qualification testing
  • Qualifications:

  • Design of complete transceiver systems for cellular base station antennas.
  • Selection and test of RF components
  • Test and optimization of RF transceivers boards
  • Perform RF compliance testing

  • Qualifications:

  • Experience / Knowledge:
  • Sound knowledge RF design principles especially in microwave (up to 6 GHz)

  • Analyze defect active antenna units
  • Qualifications:
  • Certified engineer or experienced skilled worker in the field of electrical engineering (at least 3 years)
  • Knowledge / Experience:
  • Experience in ordering electrical components, samples, lab equipment etc.
  • Knowledge about prototype board manufacturing technologies and related material processes
  • Solid background in schematics reading and understanding of related board layouts is essential
  • Sound knowlegde of electrical engineering basics, further experience in specific topics would be an asset
  • Easy use of measurement equipment like DMM and DSO
  • Good planning and organisational skills for the electrical laboratory (tools & components)
  • Very good hands-on experience especially soldering under microscope

Mechatronics Engineer (f/m)

  • Knowledge / Experience:
  • Experience in mechanical design, thermal simulation and corresponding tools. e.g. Solidworks
